It examines where it succeeds in being open and where there are closures. One of the projects&#8217; results is the identification of proposals for the democratisation and pluralisation of art schools.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Born of an initiative of the Institute for Art Education, the\u00a0<i>Art.School.Differences<\/i>\u00a0project is implemented as a cooperation between three Swiss art schools: the Haute \u00c9cole d\u2019Art et de Design &#8211; Gen\u00e8ve (Geneva School of Art and Design, HEAD \u2013 Gen\u00e8ve), the Haute \u00c9cole de Musique de Gen\u00e8ve (Geneva School of Music, HEM Gen\u00e8ve \u2013 Neuch\u00e2tel) and the Z\u00fcrcher Hochschule der K\u00fcnste (Zurich University of the Arts, ZHdK). The project, which builds on a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.zhdk.ch\/artschooldifferences\/en\/preliminary-study\/\">preliminary study<\/a>, has enjoyed the support of the management of all three schools from its inception (see <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.zhdk.ch\/artschooldifferences\/en\/schlussbericht\/\">final report<\/a>). <i>Art.School.Differences<\/i>\u00a0is remarkable for the resolute way in which it links research and practice: the project involves scientific and participatory research and engages diverse players from the institutions as co-researchers. This <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.zhdk.ch\/artschooldifferences\/en\/ko-forschung\/\">co-research<\/a> is accompanied by an educational programme on the topic of social inequality in the domain of the art school, consisting of five colloquia to which all interested persons from the school or other institutions are invited. On the basis of discussions led on selected texts during the five colloquias, a collection of texts \u2013 the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.zhdk.ch\/artschooldifferences\/en\/reader\/\">Reader Art.School.Differences<\/a> \u2013 that are introduced, commented and supplemented with a glossary is presented and made available to the participating schools as well as to a broader public to facilitate further work on the topic of inequality.<\/p>\n<p>Project Design and Concept: Carmen M\u00f6rsch, Philippe Saner, Catrin Seefranz<br \/>\nHead of Project: Philippe Saner, Sophie Voegele<br \/>\nTeam: Dora Borer, Ma\u00eblle Cornut, Serena O.
