Usually, it\u2019s only acoustic traces that reveal their presence. Whether it&#8217;s the flapping of their wings, the velar cooing of the ever so present pigeon or the nightingale\u2019s bright song of spring.<br>Listening to those sounds, the migratory birds might come to mind, their seasonal travels, their relation to time and space. The birds\u2019 ethereal songs, layered, stretched and inverted, in combination with earthly ambient sounds \u2013 penetrating one\u2019s headphones \u2013 create a space, where locality and time are multiplied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Listen to the entire audio track while taking a walk along the Schanzengraben, starting at the Bahnhof Selnau station. Go in whichever direction you wish, but keep close to the water.
