Der Text geht von Charles Garoians These aus, dass alle Beteiligten eines Museums (von der Direktorin bis zum Publikum) dieses in jeder Situation durch ihr Handeln und Sprechen &#8211; performativ &#8211; erst erstellen und erfinden, wobei diese Prozesse in Machtverh\u00e4ltnisse eingebettet sind. Kunstvermittlung kann eine Schl\u00fcsselrolle sowohl bei der Herstellung des Museums als auch bei der Reflexion seiner Bedingungen einnehmen \u2013 sie kann das Museum als einen Ort des \u00abWiderstreites\u00bb im Sinne Lyotards realisieren. Dies bedeutet, die Vielstimmigkeit aller Beteiligten nicht in eine dialektische Bewegung bzw. in eine Eindeutigkeit m\u00fcnden zu lassen, sondern sie als Manifestation von Differenz zu f\u00f6rdern. It parts from Charles Garoian\u2019s thesis that all people involved in a museum (from the director to the visitor) produce and invent the museum though their \u2013 performative \u2013 speech and actions, and that these processes are embedded into power relations. Gallery education can play a key role in the performative production of the museum as well as in the reflection on the conditions of that production \u2013 it can realize the museum as a place of the \u00abdifferend\u00bb in Lyotard\u2019s sense. This means to encourage the \u00abrhizovocality\u00bb of participants as a manifestation of difference instead of turning it into a dialectical movement or trying to make the voices unambiguous.
