Diploma Exhibition opening June 12

The future is just around the corner!

The department Knowledge Visualization cordially invites you to the diploma exhibition 2020.

It is an exceptional year and therefore also an exceptional exhibition. For the first time, all diploma theses of the Department of Design will be presented online. The team of the department and the students have mastered this big and unexpected challenge with a lot of enthusiasm and creativity. The result is 4 Master and 15 Bachelor theses, which we present to you with joy and pride.

The final projects impressively show how visual knowledge transfer can be designed to be up-to-date. The broad spectrum of topics represents the diversity of the discipline and the intensive examination of current questions of design, aesthetics and mediation, which will shape the future of the scientific image.

The ability to successfully build bridges between scientific research, the public and politics will be more relevant than ever in the future. It is therefore a particular pleasure for us to be able to present this year’s final theses in cooperation with the Science et Cité Foundation, the competence centre for science communication.

Anyone wishing to gain an insight into the projects and the history of their development can attend one of our numerous events. In the event series „Bildstark für die Wissenschaft“ (Strongly visual for science), which we are organising together with Science et Cité, science experts and designers will engage in a dialogue on visual knowledge transfer in short and entertaining formats. We look forward to meeting you at one or other of the events in the next two weeks. The complete event programme can be found here: “Bildstark für die Wissenschaft”

See you at the diploma opening on Friday, June 12 at 18.00 – the virtual diploma aperitif of Knowledge Visualization!
