Here we share something from the\u00a0interview with Joe, as we&#8217;re still waiting for reply from GP. A nicely written\u00a0transcript will come up later.<\/p>\n<p>During the interview we asked the following questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Wie hast du nach dem Studium deine Karriere gestartet?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Hast du bereit damals Architektur und Arch\u00e4ologie Illustrationen gemacht?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Hast du schon bei Beginn des Studiums geplant, dich sp\u00e4ter auf Arch\u00e4ologie zu spezialisieren?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">K\u00f6nntest du dir auch wieder Vorstellen wieder in die Architektur zu gehen als als Planer zu arbeiten, beziehungsweise als Architekt?<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Du hast den \u201eEidgen\u00f6ssischer Wettbewerb f\u00fcr Design\u201c gewonnen. Kannst du uns sagen was genau das ist und wie wichtig es f\u00fcr deine sp\u00e4tere Karriere war?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Wir haben im Vorhinein verschiedene Arbeiten von dir angeschaut. Unter andrem hast du auch sehr viele Szenenbilder der Lebensumst\u00e4nde von fr\u00fcher. Mit was f\u00fcr Medien arbeitest du bevorzugt, oder wechselst du je nach Bild ab?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Wie findest du deine Kunden? Kommen viele Auftr\u00e4ge aufgrund deiner website? Und wie h\u00e4ufig sind Folgeauftr\u00e4ge?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Du hast uns vorhin erz\u00e4hlt, dass du zur Studienzeit einen Auftrag f\u00fcr die Arch\u00e4ologie Aargau ausf\u00fchren konntest. Wie kam es dazu?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Hat sich f\u00fcr dich alles so gef\u00fcgt oder musstest du sp\u00e4ter auch auf Auftraggebersuche gehen?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">Kannst du uns von deiner besten und schlechtesten Erfahrung als Illustrator erz\u00e4hlen?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Wie wir ja per Zufall wissen lehrst du auch noch nebenbei. was denkst du davon, ist es vor allem zweckm\u00e4ssig oder nimmst du auch noch etwas davon mit?<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">W\u00fcrdest du ohne den Nebenjob als Dozent finanziell durchkommen oder m\u00fcsstest du einen anderen Nebenjob haben?<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Wie ist es von der Flexibilit\u00e4t der Schulen? Kannst du die Zeiten deinen Auftr\u00e4gen anpassen?<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Wie berechnest du dein Honorar?<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">\n<p class=\"p1\">Wie h\u00e4ufig bekommst du ein fixes Budget vorgeschrieben und wann machst du Offerten?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">\n<p class=\"p1\">Kannst du uns zum Abschluss noch etwas \u00fcber die Illustratoren Community erz\u00e4hlen? Bist du da in regen Austausch und in Foren aktiv?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, are you all anticipating the answers? Aww&#8230;\u00a0just wait for it&#8230; \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>But! As a teaser, we think,\u00a0actually, as you all know, Joe is awesome, you see,\u00a0it kind of made silvan interested in architecture and archeology too. As for me, I&#8217;m also interested in combining geometry and math in my work, but don&#8217;t have a clear picture of what it&#8217;s like to work on\u00a0architecture and archeology illustration yet. It&#8217;s seems great though to work in an environment with people from the same discipline around, while working on your own projects at the same time, as Joe mentioned &#8222;Austausch&#8220; and inputs are extremely helpful.
