In his two archive-based documentaries Every Face Has a Name (2015) and Nelly & Nadine (2022), Magnus Gertten has developed a creative and organic way of integrating archive footage in the narrative structure of a doc. In these two films he has been using the same news reel from April 1945 as the starting point of the story.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In his case study, Magnus Gertten will discuss how he investigated the secrets of the old film reel, finding people, unknown stories and revealing details.<\/span><\/p>\n
