In her research-based essay\u00a0\ufb01lm\u00a0Yugoslavia, How Ideology Moved Our Collective Body\u00a0(2013), Marta\u00a0Popivoda\u00a0looks into a very personal perspective on the history of socialist Yugoslavia, its dramatic end, and its recent transformation into a few democratic nation-states. Experience of the dissolution of the state and today’s „wild“ capitalist reestablishment of the class system in Serbia are her reasons for going back through the media images and tracing the way one social system changed by performing itself in public space. In her case study, she will talk about her concerns about the tensions between memory, history, and ideology, as well as the relations between collective and individual bodies.\u00a0Popivoda approaches these questions from a feminist and queer perspective.<\/span><\/p>\n
