Sie ist au\u00dferdem Leverhulme Fellow und besch\u00e4ftigt sich derzeit mit dem Leben und Werk von James Whale. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind das fr\u00fche Kino, abjektive R\u00e4ume, Fantasie und medizinische Geisteswissenschaften. Sie hat rund 95 Publikationen ver\u00f6ffentlicht, darunter zwei Monografien, <em>Abject Spaces in American Cinema<\/em> (2013) und <em>Fantasy Film Post 9\/11<\/em> (2013), und ist Mitherausgeberin von <em>Spaces of the Cinematic Home<\/em> (2015), <em>Tim Burton\u2019s Bodies<\/em> (2021) und <em>Action Heroines in the Twenty-First Century: Sisters in Arms<\/em> (2025).
