Team Tram Update:

After the initial brainstorming, we came up with three ideas. One of them was a QR code based book sharing, another a phone connecting strangers waiting for trams and finally a traffic light like system to indicate a tram’s arrival for people coming in from a distance.

Finally we decided on a idea; a new one. The idea was to help the local people to explore events happening in the city by providing relevant, up to date information at the back of each tram ticket.

We are taking into consideration the different colours of the tram lines, the places along tram lines which are around a theme, the events happening near those tram stations, etc. For example, there is a tram station right opposite our college called as Toni Areal. It is part of the Purple line and we are calling it the ‘Museum Line’ as it has many museums along it’s route.

Right now we are working on the design of the information on the back of the tickets, the way we can test the idea, etc.
