leihs 3.0 alpha demo now available for you to click around in

leihs 3.0 development is a little slower than we all might like, but it’s progressing very nicely at a steady pace. To give you something solid to get your hands on, we set up a fresh new demo server for 3.0 that runs in parallel with the leihs 2.9 demo.

To try out leihs 3.0’s brand new interface, head here:

http://new.demo.leihs.zhdk.ch

Warning: You will find many sections of the interface that are not yet complete and you will see unrecoverable, ugly error messages. We are working section by section, so if you encounter something that looks plain wrong, rest assured that it is plain wrong and will be finished and polished by the time we ship 3.0.

You can use leihs 2.9 against the very same database, at almost the same time! Any change you make to the leihs 3.0 demo will be reflected in leihs 2.9 after some minutes. Any change you make to leihs 2.9 will be reflected immediately in leihs 3.0.

Keep in mind that leihs 3.0 is in an alpha state right now and only the backend parts of booking are usable in production right now. If you want to run a leihs 3.0 instance parallel to your leihs 2.9 database in production, we do not recommend it, but it is possible and is being used that way at the ZHdK right now.

The current leihs 2.9 demo can be reached here:
