If Now was somewhere else

„if now was somewhere else“ ist ein Live-Audio-Walk über eine Brücke. Der Spaziergang findet zeitgleich in Zürich, Hamburg und Hong Kong statt. Während 20 Minuten wird der Zuschauer von drei Stimmen über die Brücke geführt. Der Teilnehmer befindet sich in einem Kaleidoskop aus Bestandsaufnahmen von drei verschiedenen Situationen, die sich durch die Abwesenheit der anderen Orte zur Fiktion verdichten. Die Erzähler beschreiben Momente, die teilweise mit dem selbsterlebten korrespondieren oder sich auf das Jetzt an einem anderen Ort beziehen.

„if now was somewhere else“ is a site specific performance dealing with the frame of the bridge. The Performance is based on a live-audio-walk crossing a bridge from one place to the other. In three different cities at the same time, such as Zurich, Hamburg and Hong Kong the participator will be guided across the bridge within 20 minutes by three different voices. These three cities are connected through the audio-track. This sound-connection is understood as a kaleidoscope of narration, evaluation and description of the concrete situation in each city. The audience of each city is able to listen to the descriptions in the other cities. The composition of the connected audio-descriptions is based on a experimental idea, playing with orientation or confusion/disorientation of the observer in the situation and the question of the identification with the description in relation to the real situation.
