CREATIVE IMPACT: GOING BEYOND AESTHETICS

Art and design have long moved beyond aesthetics to shape social landscapes and drive innovation. Through their work, artists and designers serve as catalysts for change, challenging norms and sparking dialogue on pressing issues. For the spring semester of 2024, the Z-Kubator is dedicated to this theme, as it plays an increasingly important role in our work with student and alumni projects.

We know from everyday life at the ZHdK that interdisciplinary collaborations lead to groundbreaking solutions, from sustainable design to digital advocacy. Embracing creativity is essential to navigating the complexities of the modern world and shaping a better tomorrow. Throughout the semester, we will meet individuals and their projects that are making an artistic, sustainable, and social impact, and we will learn that creative expressions play a vital role in cultural preservation, empowerment, and amplification of marginalized voices. Thus, creative impact unleashes the transformative power of art and design to drive progress toward a more inclusive, sustainable future.
