Grimaldo Rengifo studierte Agronomie, Pädagogik und Anthropologie. Im Jahre 1987 wurde er Mitbegründer des Programa Andino de Tecnologías Campesinas (Andines Programm für bäuerliche Technologien). Er ist bekannt für seine radikale Kritik am Konzept der Entwicklung sowie der konventionellen Bildung, für seinen Aktivismus zur kulturellen Affirmation der andinen Kultur, sein Engagement für den interkulturellen Dialog und seine theoretischen und praktischen Beiträge zum Wissen über Vielfalt. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Essays und Bücher; hervorzuheben sind seine Beiträge zu ¿Desarrollo o descolonización en los Andes? (Entwicklung oder Dekolonialisierung in den Anden?) (1993), Niños y crianza de la biodiversidad en los Andes (Kinder und das Umsorgen der Biodiversität in den Anden) (2000), Saber local y la conservación de la agrobiodiversidad andino-amazónica (Lokales Wissen und Erhalt der Agrobiodiversität im Anden-Amazonasraum) (2001), Small Scale Agriculture in the Peruvian Andes (2011) sowie Conocimiento previo, conocimiento otro (Früheres Wissen, anderes Wissen) (2014).

Grimaldo Rengifo, studied agronomy, education and anthropology. In 1987, he co-founded the Programa Andino de Tecnologías Campesinas (Andean Program of Peasant Technologies) in Lima. He is known for his  radical critique of development and conventional education, for his activism towards the cultural affirmation of Andean culture, for his efforts regarding intercultural dialogue and his theoretical and practical contributions to the knowledge of diversity. He is author of numerous essays and books; outstanding are his contributions to ¿Desarrollo o descolonización en los Andes? (Development or Decolonisation in the Andes?) (1993), Niños y crianza de la biodiversidad en los Andes (Children and Nurturance in the Andes) (2000), Saber local y la conservación de la agrobiodiversidad andino-amazónica (Local Knowledge and the Conservation of Agricultural Biodiversity in the Andean-Amazonic Region) (2001), Small Scale Agriculture in the Peruvian Andes (2011) as well as Conocimiento previo, conocimiento otro (Previous Knowledge, Other Knowledge) (2014).

Sofía Olascoaga studierte Bildende Kunst an der Kunstakademie La Esmeralda in Mexiko-Stadt und Kuratieren am Independent Studies Program des Whitney Museum of American Art in New York (2010). Sie war Stipendiatin für forschungsbasiertes Kuratieren bei Independent Curators International (2011), Co-Kuratorin der 32. Biennale von São Paulo (2016), wissenschaftliche Kuratorin am Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (2014-2015) und Koordinatorin für Bildung und öffentliche Programme des Carrillo Gil Kunstmuseums (2007-2010). Ihre Untersuchung Entre utopía y desencanto (Zwischen Utopie und Enttäuschung) beschäftigt sich mit Modellen internationaler Gemeinschaften und alternativen Bildungskonzepten, die zwischen den 1950er und 1980er Jahren in Mexiko entstanden, insbesondere mit der Entwicklung des Centro Intercultural de Documentación (Interkulturelles Dokumentationszentrum) (CIDOC) und dem Wirken von Ivan Illich. Sie ist Mitglied im Netzwerk Another Roadmap School.

Sofía Olascoaga, studied plastic arts at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving La Esmeralda and Curatorial Studies at the Independent Studies Program of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York (2010). She was a curatorial research fellow at Independent Curators International (2011), co-curator of the 32nd São Paulo Biennial (2016), academic curator at the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (2014-2015) and coordinator for Education and Public Programs at the Carrillo Gil Art Museum (2007-2010). Her research Entre utopía y desencanto (Between Utopia and Disenchantment) deals with models of intentional communities and alternative notions of education, created in Mexico between the 1950s and 1980s, particularly the development of the Centro Intercultural de Documentación (CIDOC) and the repercussions of Ivan Illich’s ideas. She is a member of the network Another Roadmap School.

Alejandro Cevallos studierte Kunst an der Universidad Central del Ecuador sowie Visuelle Anthropologie und Ethnographische Dokumentation an der Facultad Latinoamericana de Sciencias Sociales. Von 2011-2016 leitete er die Abteilung für Community-Forschung und Mediation der Stiftung Museos de la Ciudad. Aktuell ist er in verschiedenen kulturellen Einrichtungen und indigenen Handelsverbänden in Quito tätig und forscht zu Praktiken und Diskursen der gemeinschaftlichen und interkulturellen Populärbildung in Ecuador. Cevallos ist Mitglied des Netzwerks Another Roadmap School und pädagogisch im Workshop Mujeres Bordando en el Mercado San Roque (Stickende Frauen am Markt von San Roque) tätig.

Alejandro Cevallos, studied arts at the Universidad Central del Ecuador (Central University of Ecuador), as well as visual anthropology and ethnographic documentary at the Facultad Latinoamericana de Sciencias Sociales (Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences). From 2011-2016 he coordinated the Community Research and Mediation Department of the Foundation Museos de la Ciudad. He is currently active in various cultural institutions and organizations for indigenous popular commerce in Quito and developing a research on practices and discourses regarding Ecuador’s popular, intercultural and community education. He is a member of the network Another Roadmap School and a community educator in the workshop “Mujeres Bordando en el Mercado San Roque” (“Stitching Women at the Market San Roque”).
