Acting Together: rethinking existing approaches to collective action
In diesem Text wird kollektives Handeln als künstlerische Praxis untersucht. Eine solche Praxis geht oft kooperativ und kuratorisch vor, indem sowohl in Künstler_innengruppen als auch mit dem Publikum und anderen Künstler_innen im Austausch gearbeitet wird. Es ist ausserdem eine Praxis, die sich in der zeitgenössischen bildenden Kunst seit den frühen 1990er-Jahren besonders ausgeprägt hat. Wird kollektives Handeln als Möglichkeit in Betracht gezogen, sich das Tun und das Gemeinschaftliche bewusst zu machen, so kann ein „archivarisches Denken“ als künstlerische Praxis gegen ein „kuratorisches Denken“ vorgeschlagen werden, um Partizipation in der zeitgenössischen bildenden Kunst zu diskutieren.

Acting Together: rethinking existing approaches to collective action
This text investigates collective action as an artistic practice. Such practice is often collaborative and curatorial, both working within artist groups and by involving the audience and other artists interactively and socially, and has been particularly marked in the contemporary visual arts since the early 1990s. Rethinking collective action as an opportunity to become conscious of action and togetherness, ‘archival mind’ resistant to ‘curatorial mind’ is proposed as an artistic practice in order to discuss participation in the contemporary visual arts.
