zurich is part of a „host society“. definition by paul collier (‚exodus‘).

This project aims to spread awareness about refugee shelters in Zurich – to people living in shelters and people working and studying right next to them. A first and second mapping have already taken place at Kulturcontainer Basislager, Aargauerstrasse and Toni-Areal.

The technical material (mounting for cameras attached to balloons for example) is made on site in collaboration with locals.

Marc Dusseiller, DIWO specialist and biohacker (hackteria) gave us the introduction to aerial mapping – he also set up this cool wiki page where we try to keep the  process of the project up to date!
