my focus as a designer :

The best part that appeals me as a designer is ” being a student for lifetime”…It is the very first phase of being with the material when you start knowing and exploring it with curiosity that of a beginner… identify its properties… and finally let your design speak for those unique properties!

A layman for me then, whose advice for me then was merely a bunch of words started making sense after one year of my exposure to the design world and since then I have been living them, and became a inspiration for life…

He said being a designer always remember these 3 things…

  1. Knowledge and understanding of the material
  2. Continuity
  3. Being a good Human

I believe in “Reuse” rather than “Recycle” and being a responsible designer, I would like to keep on reusing this belief.

my motivation to take part in the International Design School 2013 :

After doing 2 projects and a document with local artisans of India and living their lifestyle and culture, I learnt their design language, understanding of materials and most important adaptability for new concepts. It has made me see myself working for craft upliftment. I believe this workshop will add value and act as a stepping stone to live my dream!

my favourite design :

First of its kind ‘Anglepoise table lamp‘.

Anglepoise1227

Invented by a car designer  George Carwardine when he was developing new kind of vehicles suspension system in 1932 .

Apart from its design what attracts me the most about this animated human like figure is its form. For me it is not some lifeless piece of equipment lying on my table, but a character .. a mate with whom I feel like conversing…
