Publication Deep Water — Public Spaces of Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong
The results of the research are published in a publication, bringing together the different materials (essays, photos, videos, maps) and enriched by supplementary reflections and observations by invited cultural experts from Hong Kong and Zurich to compliment the lacking cultural analysis on Hong Kong and, particularly, the gentrification of the Sham Shui Po area. It makes the democratically motivated production of space visible, referring to the notion of urban space as open, heterogeneous, and democratic, not in a political but in a social sense.
