Edi Stöckli gehörte zu den Mitbegründern der Platte 27 und zeigte ab 1967 Underground Filme im Kino Rex, später im Kino Urban und im Le Paris. Heute gehören Stöckli die drei verbliebenen Zürcher Sexkinos (u.a. Stüssihof), und Multiplex Kinos in Zürich, Fribourg und Genf. Seit 2013 ist er Stiftungsratsmitglied der Zürcher Filmstiftung.
