Performative Intervention Workshop in Cooperation with Migros Museum für Gegenwart, 2016
Speculative Curating in cooperation with Migros Museum fuer Gegenwartskunst 20th Anniversary: The Postgraduate Programme in Curating (www.curating.org) invited artists for a series of interventions in the spaces of Migros Museum fuer Gegenwartskunst, its collection and its depots in 2016. The artist’s intervention promised us to provide new ways of access, new ways of seeing and interacting within a group inside a museum institution. The students of the Postgraduate Programme in Curating and an interested public engaged with the artist and within the workshop to re-view or re-envision the Museum and its „products“, questioning spaces, behaviour patterns, formats and to review the politics of display and collecting.
Collaboration, cross-disciplinarity, working in and with a group were the pivotal points of this project, which experiments in similiar methods one could see originated at the Black Mountain College. Although there is not a direct link to Black Mountain, clearly a project shaped through collaborative and cross-disciplinary methods is presented in this video.
