Jean-Stéphane Bron has graduated at ECAL in Lausanne. His featured film MAIS IM BUNDESHUUS (2003) was a huge success and won him the Swiss Film Award. CLEVELAND VS WALL STREET (2011) is his fourth documentary film and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the section La Quinzaine des Réalisateures. The film was nominated for a César and wins him another Swiss Film Price in 2011. L’EXPERIENCE BLOCHER (2013), portraying the Swiss populist politician Christoph Blocher creates a national wide controversy. 

Jean-Stéphane Bron is a founding member of the production company Bande à part Films, which he runs with Ursula Meier, Frédéric Mermoud and Lionel Baier.
