PANEL 2: WHAT’S IN IT FOR US? / WAS HABEN WIR DAVON?  (E/D)

The panel on the second day brings together the different perspectives of protagonists, filmmakers and researchers. The panelists discuss how the interaction between filmmakers and those being filmed can be the most productive and how negative effects on the protagonists can be minimized or avoided. Particularly in the context of war and forced migration, the issue of re-traumatization can come to the fore. In addition, the sudden public attention can also have negative effects on the personal lives of those appearing on screen. –What measures and concepts can counteract this? – And what do protagonists gain from becoming film characters?

Die Podiumsdiskussion am zweiten Tag bringt die unterschiedlichen Perspektiven von Protagonist:innen, Filmschaffenden und Forschenden zusammen. Die Podiums-Teilnehmenden diskutieren darüber, wie die Interaktion zwischen Filmenden und Gefilmten am produktivsten sein kann und wie negative Auswirkungen auf die Protagonist:innen minimiert oder vermieden werden können. Insbesondere im Kontext von Krieg und Flucht kann das Thema Re-Traumatisierung in den Vordergrund rücken. Darüber hinaus kann auch die plötzlich entstehende Öffentlichkeit negative Auswirkungen auf das Privatleben der Abgebildeten haben. – Welche Maßnahmen und Konzepte können dem entgegenwirken? – Und was haben die Protagonisten davon dass ihre Leben auf die Leinwand kommt?
