Jerzy Sladkowski worked for the Polish television for ten years and emigrated to Sweden in 1983. He is the author and director of more than 40 documentary films and has received numerous awards (including the European Film Award 1996). Vodka Factory was awarded the Golden Dove in Leipzig in 2010.
