Das Wichtigste zuerst: Ab diesem Jahr können ZHdK-Angehörige kostenlos Open-Access-Artikel in Zeitschriften des Verlags Elsevier publizieren. Weiter bietet Science Direct, die Elsevier-Plattform für wissenschaftliche, im Peer-Review-Verfahren veröffentlichte Literatur, Zugriff auf Artikel in mehr als 2500 Zeitschriften.
Möglich macht dies der Abschluss einer Read&Publish-Vereinbarung. Ausgehandelt hat diese eine Delegation von swissuniversities in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Konsortium der Schweizer Hochschulbibliotheken. Damit ist ein wichtiger Meilenstein in der Umsetzung der nationalen Open Access-Strategie zu Gunsten der angeschlossenen Schweizer Hochschulen und Universitäten und somit auch deren Forschenden und Bibliotheken gesetzt!
