Exhibition Val <strong>Mucilaginosa</strong>

Val Mucilaginosa is a Mixed Reality installation in which biochemical and relational ways of knowing how plants heal meet in the mucilaginous in-between. A speculative valley where two knowledge systems slip into one another.

The installation was created by visual artist Isabel Bullerschen together with Chris Elvis Leisi (Immersive Arts Space, Experience Design), Florian Baumann (3D Design), Magda Drozd (Composition/Sound Design) and Hannah Mehler (Voice Over/Singing Voice).

Commissioned by We Are AIA for their project "Botanical Memories – On Healing and Care" & the Botanical Garden of the University of Zurich for "Plants as Medicine – Diversity in Switzerland".

Instructions for Use @ Zurich Art Weekend

Instructions for Use is a performative XR-based installation involving visitors interacting in mixed reality headsets. AI agents analyze what cameras embedded in the headsets see and generate voiced-over instructions that provoke surprising actions/interactions between the visitors. Thus, a strange performance emerges in the mode of instructions executed by humans but imagined by machine.
