Making-Of Immersive Art Practices

In this making-of from last semester’s course in Immersive Arts Practices, the different student projects are presented. In the interdisciplinary course students from Theatre, Interaction Design, Art Education etc. developed projects in VR/AR/XR by using motion capture and further technologies supported by the Immersive Arts Space.

cineDesk @ NIFFF

The cineDesk, the previsualization tool for virtual production, developed at the Immersive Arts Space, was exhibited at the Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF). [more infos]

New Professor for Immersive Arts

Christopher Lloyd Salter (Concordia 2019)

On August 1st 2022, Christopher Lloyd Salter, until recently Professor of Design and Computation Arts at Concordia University in Montreal, took over the Immersive Arts professorship from Christian Iseli, who retired at the end of the spring semester. Chris Salter, an internationally known artist and the codirector of the Hexagram network for arts, culture, and technology, is the author of many publications, among which the acclaimed book Entangled: Technology and the Transformation of Performance (MIT Press 2010).

Spring Lectures Online

The live recordings of the Public Lecture Series (spring 2022) are now online available. Five lecturers form institutions such as UZH, HSLU, ETHZ and ZHdK have shared their perspectives on the topic of “Immersion and Extended Realities”.
