The second panel discussion will look back at the topics that were discussed at the conference and will also address the question whether attitudes towards archival material and the way it is used are currently changing. A growing awareness of cultural appropriation, depictions of violence, and documented discrimination increasingly leads to the problem of whether historical material should be used more carefully, interpreted more transparently, or in some cases rather not used at all. – Do we need a new way of dealing with archival material?
